With serious reluctance I am putting my ZT260 up for sale. I am the second owner after purchasing it back in May after spending 3 months trying to find the best possible car for the money.
I purchased it with the intention on keeping it for the significant future, however I am saving up to go travelling next year and then for a house deposit so trying to justify running a 4.6l V8 wasn't really going to happen and so I have made the decision to sell and get something a bit more economical.

The car itself is a 2005(55) plate car, number 881 out of 883 so third from last V8 ever made. It is in British Racing Green with gloss black wheels and other than a scuff on the front bumper, the car is immaculate.
It comes with an equally clean and tidy full leather interior with heated electric front seats and rear seats with the ski hatch option.
Being an SE spec car it is top spec for a ZT with cruise control, dual zone climate(recent air con regas), 4x One touch electric windows, Sat Nav Highline stereo and Xenon projectors all fitted as standard.
My car is also fitted with the optional sunroof which is fully electric and one touch.

Being a V8, it comes slightly different to the other models in the range;
4.6l v8
RWD
AP Rear calipers with 330mm disks
Bilstein Suspention

It has 12 months MOT as of August, so around 10 months remaining with Tax until the end of the year. It failed the MOT on steering rack gaitors so I had them fitted by a garage and it passed the retest.
There is a full service history with a wad of papers and receipts to back up the mileage.
I have also had two tyres fitted to the rear as the ones which were on the car when I purchased it were nearly bald!

It does have it's negatives points;

>20-25mpg - It doesn't get better than that, if you buy it for economy you will be dissappointed
>Scuff on the front bumper - I nudged a post at very low speed(~5mph) and scuffed it but it may just polish out
>Rarity, you won't see another on the road. I got mine and put 5k on it without seeing another one and I drove it all round the country.

I am open to sensible offers on the car, I am not really willing to move much on the price as it is one of the cheapest ones for sale presently and has the rarity of being one of the last made and full SE spec.

I am wanting £6000 ovno

I dont really want to sell it tbh, just put it up in the hope that somebody will see and fall in love. Otherwise it might have to hit ebay or get traded in :/

Welcome along. I recal you from 2009 when selling the only Bittersweet ZT-T 180 Sports SE. It was a shame I couldn't convince the wife about that one back then...she was much 'happier' with my 'boring' X Power Grey ZT-T 260 though!

Yep that's right - good memory there.

The bittersweet was certainly interesting. Greeners helped me out with it no end, but transpired it had early onset HGF - yes I know, rare for the KV6 - but it seems it was a good one to have let slip past.

Thanks for the welcomes fellas.

Well Dan, I am open to serious offers if its from somebody who will give her a good home.

The front window has got a crack in it a few days ago which I can either get sorted for the new owner if I have time, or will just knock the cost of a replacement off the price of the car.

Sadly, Have to put this back up for sale. Lack of storage for the car over winter means it will be sat out on the road otherwise. Would rather it went to a new home than was smashed into by some idiot driving past.

I have had an offer on the car for £4600 for the car, however it is quite a low offer and I am reluctant to accept it, if anyone is interested then please feel free to make a better offer on the car and I may accept it.

It would, if the seller lets us know it's sold or the buyer joins, otherwise.....................we're none the wiser

Apologies for not updating, had a bit of a hectic few months and hardly been online. Car has not sold yet, need to update this topic but the car passed it's MOT back in Sept with 2x Front springs and handbrake adjustment. I have also fitted straight through pipes at the back(original backboxes are still available) and currently in the process of installing a digital TV tuner into the car.

Just a quick picture of the paperwork:

I remember seeing Paul's car when it was first advertised on the 75&ZT forum. That's a nice car but a 260 didn't figure in my plans then. I did look at the thread here recently but thought that'll be long gone. Amazed it hasn't sold, I was getting extremely frustrated when looking for one, lost count of the "dead" (car long gone) adverts I replied to.

There was a buyer for it but the sale fell through and combined with a month in the states and other commitments, I just didn't have the time to be as proactive in selling it as I could have been. It's my own fault but now its 12 months on, I am going to take it out and get pictures of the car and remake the for sale thread.
