MG ZR for sale

Might be useful for somebody else looking for a fun economical car. Not sure how much to sell for, so aiming for middle range based on other ads I've seen recently. £1300 but open to offers. I did 8000 miles in a new 1600 25 in the space of 4 weeks. Long days but fun along country roads
The following 2 weeks and 4500 miles I went through 3 new VW Golfs they couldn't hack the pace. One consumed all it's oil on the m5
The ZR would of been more fun but we had none in our car pool :cool:

They are good little cars. Very light and with a 1.8 the acceleration is good. The handling is brilliant, with the bigger MG wheels and bucket seats they really hug tight corners well. They suffer from a bit of oversteer but easy to get used to.

We were going to get a ZR 160 but the insurance was too high for my wife at the time (not long passed her test). This car was a decent ballance.

Old 206's stablemate is our ZR160 which we've had for three years now. Only 35 came into Australia before the factory closed, so it is always an eye-catcher. It's "her" car, but I do have to look after it. Currently, at 120,000kms, we are about to do the belts. The head gasket is leaking somewhere as the coolant has a tiny bit of oil in it, and the level goes down slowly with no apparent leaks - oh well... As Carl says, they are amazingly good on the road...

The mk2's definitely look better if I'm honest. When we bought ours we needed a car quickly so we weren't choosy. You're ZR looks great btw!

This was my zr, the car that got me into MG's and the path towards the 260, had it for a few years before modifying it. only had the 105 as i was young sold it when i was 23 and got the 260

1.4 is a bit under powered I think, but the car itself looks great! Great car to start off with though.

I had somebody contact me from seeing the ebay ad. They text my mobile from a British number asking if I could email them more details. I thought that was a bit odd but why not. This morning "Linda" replied saying saying she urgently needs a car and will send over her shipping agents because she wants it in Ireland..... no no no, definitely no. I grabbed the IP address from the email header and traced it back to Nigeria. Scamming little @*!!*'s

The only way I guess they can scam with a car is to pay by some kind of cheque or international transfer which will bounce or return in time.
