Can anyone tell me if there are any 260zt/75v8 events, shows or club stands etc planned for this year?
I have a very interesting ZT260 that has been worked on over the winter and would love the opportunity to show the car. I am a member of the MGOC but as good as they are, they don't really cater for this type of car.
Thank you

If you return your questionnaire to Tim and go GREEN then you will open up a whole new world of information Charles.

Lots of info on events etc., already on the site.

Hi Charles, send in your questionaire to Tim, you will then have full access to this forum including events - there are many, both uk and overseas; Brooklands (april) Pride of Longbridge (april) MG Live (June) MGFIM (Germany in August) to name but a few

Where are you located - your profile does not say

p.s. waht are the last 3 VIN digits of yours?

Hi and welcome.

Strange to hear that MGOC doesn't cater that well. They have lots of positive comments from various members when it comes to sorting out problems.

As already mentioned before, return the questionnaire and get full access (or PM Tim if you need a new one)
Also location would be helpful in case you need help and someone is closeby

Dear Nich
Thanks for the reply. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to contact Tim and go green..........but who is Tim and how do I contact him? You also mention 'going green'. Now, my Rover 75 V8 that I had from new was LPG converted and was considered to be reasonably 'green' but at 2.5k a pop for the conversion, this was not a route I wanted to pursue again. Given this problem, is there any other way I can 'go green', so this chap Tim would find acceptable and thus allow me access to this years events? I see the reply below also mentions someone called Tim, so I am beginning to think this is not some random name you have come up with.
By the way, your MGZT is'nt the one with a KB supercharger is it? and if so do you live near the Birmingham area and did you sell me a MK1 boot spoiler?.........if you did, then you know who I am!! I have nearly finished the car and will post some photos on the site when someone at my end shows me how to!!

Look forward to your reply.

Tim is the one that would have sent you the questionnaire when you first registered
You can contact him on the forum via private message (PM) https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/member.php?164-Tim

Green is the colour your username will go once the questionnaire is returned, allowing you access to other parts of this forum.

Once that is sorted the rest will become clear :)

If you click on the link Herman has provided it should put you in touch.

CharlesNo Charles, unfortunately that's not me. Not only do I live "daan sowf" but I haven't got a supercharger fitted....:( nor have I got a ZT, only a ZT-T.

Hope this all helps you to go GREEN (in the member sense) and discover the eighth wonder of the world, that is the Two-Sixties members only section.....:D

Don't think I was randomly generated, both of my parents had purpose. :) Welcome along Charles I do need confirmation of you and your fine car please. A member of the MGOC is also good.

Nich, I am a full member of the Two-Sixties forum. Seeing as how you are so well-in with this Tim bloke, can't you just "ping" this request over to him?
I am going to be honest with you Nich, I don't understand this forum-malarky; I just want to know what's going off this year!
To give you more of an insight into the type of person I am the children at home show me how to "do things" on the computer as I am so hopeless at it. Within 24 hours of being shown something, I have forgotten how to do it! It just won't sink in. So bad is the situation that everyone in my family dreads me going anywhere near it.
Could you ask Tim (who seems to be VERY powerful) to include at the top of this forum link, a little box that is headed "Questions for Tim". It would be so much easier for dimwits like me!

Best,

Charles.

Welcome along Charles I do need confirmation of you and your fine car please. A member of the MGOC is also good.

Understand your problem Charles. Tim (the all seeing eye) will no doubt be reading this as I type and a new questionnaire will be 'winging' its way to you as we speak or very soon afterwards.
The way it works is that anyone can join the forum and their names will appear in blue, once you get a 260/75V8 and are a member of the MGOC then your name will go green (after you have sent your questionnaire back to Tim). Moderators and Administrators names are in red.

Blues can only see the Public Section (very limited)
Greens can see everything (the whole forum)
Reds can see everything and then some (the whole universe)

Hope this helps, I will PM (Private Message) Tim and ask him to send you another questionnaire, although he is probably in the process of doing that right now!

Good evening Herman
Ref the MGOC. For the record I think the MGOC is a fantastic, well organised and very professional club. The parts support and club magazine are also superb......... if you own a Midget,MGB,TC etc.But I struggled to find much of interest for or about a modern 260 V8.
Thank you for your reply.

Hi Nich
A bit slow! I get home late most nights and I am half asleep after dinner. I will sort it this weekend because the big man has made contact! I have some show dates now and the 7th of July at Duxford will be a must. The car will be complete for the start of May. What is the difference between a reply and a quick reply?

Hello charles, a quick reply has a limited number of "bells and whistles" available whereas if you "Go Advanced" then you can spend hours fine tuning your posts with things like coloured text of different sizes etc., etc., and add smilies...............:D:D:D:D.
