Just to clarify, that this is a monogram INTERIOR car rather than a monogram PAINT car? Did the monogram paint cars come with monogram interiors, or was that an 'additional' option in itself? And was such an interior the same price (cheaper, or more expensive) than the paint option?

There were many options under the monogram options offered
Exterior paint
Interior trim
Dashboards (like the one now in #242, as can be seen below)
The monogram brochures and price lists are readily obtainable from eBay

This IS a car with the monogram trim fitted at the factory and I believe one of only 4 fitted with this monogram trim option

I hope this helps answer your question

Thanks Colin, yes monogram spec interior - this colour combination is used in the MG brochure on the Monogram page. the paint code is PBT pearl black, optional metallic paint

Its all here:-

The question is, are some red seats really worth £2500-£3000 over the normal price of these cars?

here we go again.......................

the car would be up for and make probably the same money if it was all black interior, its not been priced any more because of the monogram black
/ red leather, it just rarer than std and more appealing to some, also OOI it is one of the last 40 built !!

having had nearly 50 of these beasts through my hands i think i know the 260 market pretty well now !!

I don't know the market and some said I'd be paying too much for my car but the point is I'm more than happy with the deal I got and the service and hospitality James showed to me. Plus he waited weeks until I could get down to pick up the car when he could have sold it quicker to some one else. So it's not all about price in my opinion

lol..

Well if you were willing to talk about the price, I would be up for taking her off your hands.

Its getting pretty close to the Saloon I'm after.

The Royal Blue one was ok, but I'm not convinced the ZT suits the colour. I already have one in Royal Blue!

Its a real shame somebody has messed around with the Apexs on the black one, as that would set me back around £450 to put back as close to OE as possible.

Zeb - your post suugests i have spelt Monogram wrong ie monAgram !! am i missing something ??

T16 - alloys are always personal thing, (Les's red ZTT with anthracite alloys created opinions) these black ones were done professionally last year by the 1st and only owner, as the lacquer paint was peeling (surprise), as he had the car for 6 yrs he had them painted in body colour so he felt he was getting some value otherwise he would spend £300 and they would look the same and felt no gain. they do look better in the flesh rather than the pics, it makes it look a bit more menacing.

i must admit i wasnt personally taken with the royal blue one, it looked a bit more Rover 75 than ZT especially with the chrome side finish trim. but it was different and sold straight away as it was a 260.

please ring, pm or email me if you are interested in chatting about this one and a possible deal

I was never a fan of dark alloys until I saw the colour James had picked for my ZT-T and I was hooked. This one he has now looks really stealth, it's fantastic
