No need to feel dull, it's easy for those of us that have been around here a while to forget about the links.
Did it help find the part?

Got a link through to Steve Wiliamson but it wasn't in stock. They advised try X-part but no joy there either. Would anyone know or have a contact no. for Kim Johnson in the Worcetser area? I believe he is a V8 specialist or was?

Sorry guy's no V8 yet. The part is to put a twin exhaust system on my KV6. However I'm coming round to realising that I don't have time to finish a restoration on my 1951 Cadillac and have decided maybe it's time to move it on to someone younger or someone without family responsibilities and buy an MG ZT V8 or perhaps a Rover 75 V8. So I will be in the market soon I hope.

Getting one is so much better than being a pretend wannabe with twin pipes on your v6 :thumb

I shall have one! Say I with a huge grin on my face. It was a black ZT V8 of all places (In a garage) filling up, whre I live in Cheltenham that started this obsession for ZT's. I heard it fire up spotted the mustang badge on the lower grille and thought fair play he's made a custom. Fell in love with the look of the car and thought I'll research a ZT and get one...Then learn't the V8 was a factory option. Hmm the yearning just gets worse.

I'm not dilusional about my KV6 ever being a V8 and she will always wear her 190 badge with pride even if she is a bit common by comparison and have little value, but there is no getting away from the fact that she will always look better with twin exhasts...so why not eh :-) So no worries there she'll never have a v8 or 260 badge anywhere near her to make her look like some thing she is not.

Do you have any idea how many V8's there are local to me. I have seen one in Cheltenham, one in Harvington near Evesham and one parked in Birmingham...all black too.

Nice chatting...cheers Kev

Ahh, well hello sir. I was over your way looking for a stop gap car, which was a Rover 75 in the village dressed up as am MG when I spotted yours out on the test run. I drove back later and you had gone out. Gutted was looking forward to taking a peek.

Have also seen a Mk1 in X-power grey driving through 6 bends heading towards Bredon Tewksbury area.

Kev,
I have a XPG Mk1 rear bumper from a ZT V6 that I broke that had a duplex exhaust and it has both exhaust trims. I priced the bumper at £75 which included the parking sensors/exhaust trims.I still have the duplex exhaust if your in the market for one?
