Marcus (Schoppa on here) is our newest person on the forum.

We have been communicating by email (via the MGCC V8 Register and fellow Two Sixties member IanQ)

I suggested that Marcus joins teh forum. He is looking for a 260 to have over in Germay

Hi Colin,

thank you very much for the warm welcome, Ian too! I'm a German MG enthusiast and MGCC member driving a MGB GT V8 with some smooth modifications (Vitesse heads, Quaife). I'm looking for an original and sound 260 ZT or ZT-T exemplar. RHD is no problem for me, color isn't really important. Any hints are very welcome. I'm also looking for workshops/garages or other enthusiasts in Germany, which are familiar with 260s. I'm thinking of going to Silverstone and would be happy to meet up some of you and sharing a cool drink in front of an open 260 bonnet. :D

Hi Marcus :)

Good luck in your search :) any questions just ask but you have been chatting to some people in the know already :)
I will be at Silverstone too so if you make it I will quite happily share a cool drink :) though if the engine is running the drink won't stay cool for long if under the bonnet ;)

if you buy a car from the UK Marcus, depending where in the UK I would recommend either Brian at Dreadnought (Scotland), Nick at Austin Garages (Middle England), or Linden (North England) give it a good look over / service. All are members of this forum and are very knowledgeable and helpful.

It will be great to see you at MG Live. I will be there all weekend.

Hi Tom,

thank you for your offer with the headlamps. Too poor that you live over 400km away from me. Would be woundful to meet you and talk about and listen to your 260.

@colintf and Merl: Yes, I'd really like to meet you at Silverstone. Where do I store all the promised beer in my little MGB, hmmm ... no spare tyre :) Will you have an own 260 tent or is it together with the MGBV8 and RV8 guys?

Good night
Marcus

we normally park up with the V8 Register, much to the annoyance of the ZR/ZS/ZT Register (which I am on the committee for, so that goes down well!) but it's a V8 thing!! I tend to park with the Zeds on a Friday to play politics!!

It will be good to see you Marcus.

Marcus, sorry, I may not be able to answer your emails for a couple of days, I have been away (Bristish Touring Car racing - MG6) today and again tomorrow - sorry! I will try and do so soon for you.

Hi Marcus,

my car is off the road yet, but when back on, there is no way too long for a meet, like Klaus already did.
Keep my fingers crossed that you will find your ZT
