I've hankered after a ZT V8 for a long time, and was pointed towards this at the weekend - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300692046413?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Is this car known of around these forums ?

It seems a sensible-ish opening bid price bearing in mind the damage to it - any thoughts on that ?

I don't know the car. We need to know the last 3 number of the VIN to identify it. Seats are easy to replace as a set. That has Summit trim, standard on the non SE cars. It IS. NOT half leather. It is cloth and vinyl, although the vinyl does a better job of immitating leather than proper leather in some cars. Ebay has plenty of replacement seats.
No idea what is going on with the paint on the rear door.

Id be asking questions (amongst many others) about why he has not had it long and also why cleaning the shit out of the car before taking the photos was such a chore that he didn't bother!

Well cheap, go for it Alex! Its a low vin mkII with no bad history on my records. Door respray, wheel refurb and you will have a good looking car. :)

lol, and clean the crap out of the rear.

I missed out on this one - seemed silly to bid without being able to view first and I couldn't get there in time :(

Thanks for all the advice though !

There's always this one I've just found on eBay. Seems to have an interesting (non SE?) spec and back story though...

Lots of money for a damaged (Poss Cat C or D) car. The low miles are a plus but it has quite a few negatives IMO.
This will be an interesting one to follow..

Be careful with this one Stephen, it hasn't had a service yet according to the write up but has done over 9000 miles. Servicing intervals are every 5000 miles.

My thoughts too. It's a lot of money for a car which won't have had it's "running in" faults rectified like a lot of the daily drivers on here, and that odd history is a big risk.

As far as I know the first service at 5000 miles should at least change the oil and oil filter. It has also been suggested that the diff oil should have been changed after the first 1500 miles. If these haven't been done then it could be a risky investment but a good negotiation tool.

yeah interesting one. Looks like it shares garage space with some moneyed motors though so probably a bonafied seller.

Could be a good candidate for a supercharger conversion if the price was right.
