Hi,

i need the fuel pump for my Rover 75 1.8T, which is the same as ours.
Seems that mine broke down, as there is no pressure at the petrol line

Thanks, Thomas

That does sound like a bargain!

It's not possibly the fuel filter issue causing the problem?

Have you checked that the filter hasn't come adrift from the actual pump ?

Common fault on the R75's & ZT's & this makes the pump lose all pressure.

There is an Orange clip to modify the pump or you can drill & self-tap the filter to secure it.

Just a thought !

afaik there are two faults. near side (pump side) the orange clip (WJC000230) breaks, or offside the lower part of the filter unit snaps out. in both cases: no pressure. will see tomorrow. but I dont like working on petrol. gas gauge says tank is filled ~50%

Have you had the pump out yet & taken a look ?
The filter usually separates from the pump (Orange clip or a couple of self-tappers)
I think MG Rover call the part on the O/S the Fuel Module (So i've heard !) & i've personally never had a problem there.
Silly question but I suppose the Inertia Switch is ok ? & have you checked power to the Pump ?

done! :D

at the passengers side the housing of the filter consists of two parts. the lower part got loose.
here is a pic from the german forum, between the red arrows there mustn't be a gap as in the pic.

took half an hour to fix, now i got a spare pump left
