front and rear stuff ups please :thumb

No idea where I'll store them, but too good to turn down - ironic really as I believe you bought these from AE Wilcox just up the road from me??

group buy sounds a good idea if there's enough interest.

I was thinking stuff-ups actually. I have a front subframe, but the rest of the stuff up would be useful for the front, as well as the complete rear one for the race car. I may well be better off to get a salvage 260 anyway, and I wasn't planning on spending anymore money on parts just yet, so i'm not bothered that there's other interest.

The engine is a tempting idea to look into, but i hear a divorse can be expensive, so I'll (probably) refrain!

Would it be worth advertising the engine on a mustang forum?

Ok, so tell me about this engine. What's its history, condition, age...

What does it come with? Are we talking about a ready to run engine that's part of the front stuff up?

Has it been stored for a while? Has it be been stored properly?

chris the engine is an ex factory mg svr engine with the heads teaped 033 dreadnought have told me its one of the original sean hyland engines without the valve angles changed for the svr as requested by mgr this meaning it has to be run on higher octane fuel but hasnt got the 15/20 hp dropp as caused by the head work the engine with the right headers will be 400 bhp ish and is complete and been stored properly and is not part of the front axle assemblie
regards jimmie biggam, where else could you get a new 400 bhp engine for 2.5 k

Jimmie, I don't suppose you've got a spare throttle cable lying about the garage? I've passed by a few times going to the Saints matches, and keep saying to my son, ' must pop in and say hello', but there's always something to rush back home for.

Yeah Thanks Colin. I mailed them yesterday infact. Just thought if Jimmie had one spare, I'd be as well paying him for one.

No problem jimmie. I will make a point of popping in to see you when I'm back home. So you are moving lock/stock and all to George st? When do you expect to be flitted then?

Hi this may sound like a dum question but would this motor drop straight into a standard road car and run? How much tie up is there between the engine ecu and the rest of the car. Im just a newbie regards terry

No it won't. Not enough space for a 32V. Trying to link it to the rest of the car via the Gateway ECU will be difficult as well.

Anything is possible with know how and money... but yeah doesn't fit straight in and generally you will loose the heater matrix etc... If you were going to have a track day car only then this would be a good purchase.

I am definitely still up for the VHS Kit.

Going away for a week though tomorrow night so might not be on here as not sure if the resort has internet. So yeah hopefully I can get on if we have movement but if not I will be back online Sunday 8th April.

I believe that all of us buying are members on here.

If so it's worth us considering the group buy option.

The VHS kit then become £648.15
The Engine becomes £2314.81
The Gearbox becomes £370.37
The Stuffups become £1666.67

(based on the percentage 5000/5400 ie group buy price / individual buy prices)

But what would we do with the Body shell???
I wonder if the owner down under would be interested???

If we find a buyer for that the items become cheaper still

VHS approx £583.33
Engine approx £2083.33
Gearbox approx £333.33
Stuffups approx £1500
Bodushell approx £500

I was thinking the same Colin but don't really have the space fora body shell... Well I do but only as a temp measure as it isn't under cover and not secure as such but is out of sight and could lock it up until a buyer could be found.

Though have to incorporate the extra shipping costs as well....

There is an SV for sale on Ebay
It is a "track" car currently minus engine
Cheap at under 10k and with Jimmie's engine/gearbox would be a nice project for someone

Sorry had to go look up cheap in a dictionary

It is all relative! and if the relative in question is the wife then whatever you tell her it won't be cheap in her eyes ;)
