Seems to have the hairpin alloys...............mmhhh

Wonder if they came with the car or where put on after.
If 012 had them as standard they may be OK for the 260

Number 12 appears to have Rover seats in it too...

I know a Rover-mechanic, who knows the history of #012, but does not want to talk about it. Aint not a good sign, I guess

And I know the guy who imported the "cheap" black ZT260, also the seller, who still needs LHD-headlamps for the car.

I guess as a development car it could of had an interestingly hard life

Just looking at the engine aby pics, the washer bottle is half up the side of the engine bay?

Got this message back from the seller:

Hi Eric,

thanks for your info about the MG ZT 260

My MG has the VIN: SARRXGLGN3D000012

The car was first owned by MGROVER Germany and then sold to an older man who died.

I boughtt the car from his relatives and own it since 2 years

The car is really like new as it only has 11500km on the odo.

And it is a lefthand drive!

so I would be happy if you put it on your website.

Thanks

Best Regards

Rainer

It may well have had a hard life but I expect mine has as well (003) but it is still a great car. Also I think they look so much nicer with the non-facelift front end. I doubt whoever buys it will regret it.

It is a great thing David that some of the Development cars escaped the crusher :thumb

Yes I couldn't agree more, the early cars are that little bit more special.
