Hello,

I just got my ZZT 260 from Holland, and I wondered if it is possible to undo the auto-locking of the doors. I live in Luxembourg and life is not so dangerous here.

Yes. You need a T4 session.

Hi Guy, as Andy say's you will need to find someone with the T4 equipment to switch it off. An old MG Rover dealer near you maybe, or get it done when you bring it to the UK

Life is not so dangerous in Australia usually but when I accessed a T4 at Paradise Garage in Sydney recently and had the "speed locking" turned off, it wouldn't turn off. We tried several times. I've now learned to live with it - a bit tedious I know. Not sure what is the matter with the Sydney T4 equipment. It had been up-dated to the latest available (in 2005, I presume).

I connected my T4 and did the job. Apparently to unlock the feature to watch television while driving is not possible using the T4. Does somebody know the code with the volume and brightness button for this?

good result on the autolocking Guy :thumb

I thought enabling the TV to be watched on the move involved an additional cable, but I could be wrong?

Could be that a function is linked to the country.
Maybe changing the country code, disable, and then country code again would do the trick

It's something to do with the Kbus i think, i know Roger on here did mine at Brooklands last year for a tenner. Plugged in the laptop and did his trickery with it :)

There are other reasons to turn off auto locking: I had my car in for an MOT last month (not with an MG specialist). With the engine running, up on a lift and the doors closed, the mechanic spun the wheels. Hmmm, guess what happened... And I was 60 miles from home without the spare key. Eventually one of the other mechanics in the garage managed to get into the car (the bonnet was up and he said he'd managed to reset something, which had opened the central locking - no idea what exactly). The MG is not exactly the only car with this feature - you think they'd know not to do that! Anyway, I'll always remember to take the spare key when I get the car worked on.

The good news is the car passed the MOT (I think he didn't dare fail it after that) ;)

Do you mean Roger Parker? Did he use the T4 to enable the TV to be watched on the move?

As far as I know you can only activate the TV in motion feature by using a 'Ressler' interface with Navcoder software or a TV in motion lead. I can't remember the source but will post when I find it.

It was me!, make yourself known at the next meet and I can turn TV in Motion on, no cables needed.
